Pestilence Profiteering
Global Harm, U.S. Complicity, and Advocating for Accountability
The recent saRNA vaccine trial in Uganda, where 93 percent of participants suffered severe blood abnormalities, serves as a chilling reminder of a decades-long pattern that threatens the very fabric of our rights and humanity.
Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, alongside BARDA and Arcturus Therapeutics, this trial left 39 out of 42 healthy adults with life-altering conditions like thrombocytopenia, lymphopenia, and neutropenia.1
This is not an isolated incident. It is part of a calculated modus operandi I call pestilence profiteering, where vulnerable populations are exploited as test subjects, the resulting biotech is deployed in the United States through government contracts, and those responsible are shielded from accountability by legislative overreach laws like the PREP Act.
The decision by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to halt U.S. funding for GAVI2, the Vaccine Alliance, marks a critical pushback against this cycle, exposing systemic flaws in global health organizations that prioritize profit over safety. As Americans, grounded in the principles of self-ownership, human rights, and constitutional law, we must confront this moral decay head-on. The failures of our institutions, from the Department of Defense to the FDA, pose a significant threat to our safety far more than many realize, especially as the Internet of Bodies emerges on the horizon, poised to erode our autonomy even further. The Internet of Bodies and Beyond
Imagine your body woven into a digital network, with microscopic sensors monitoring your health or communicating with your cells. This is the reality of the Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of Bodies (IoB), Internet of Nano-Things (IoNT), Internet of Bio-Nano-Things (IoBNT)
Profits Before Principles
It is no secret that enormous profits are being made in the health sector. Gates explains he’s received 20:1 on his investments in the vaccine industry.3 Where there is big money, inevitably, the vice of greed breeds a moral rot - corruption, all manner of depravity, a disregard for fundamental human rights, and millions harmed in the process. GAVI, co-founded by the Gates Foundation, exemplifies this dynamic. Despite its mission to vaccinate children in low-income countries, GAVI has been criticized for ignoring vaccine safety concerns, treating them as public relations issues rather than patient health problems. This pattern of prioritizing profit and influence over human lives is at the heart of pestilence profiteering.
A Long History of Harm
The Gates Foundation’s history of harm spans continents and decades, consistently targeting the most vulnerable. In 2009, the Foundation funded PATH with 3.6 million dollars to test HPV vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, on 24,000 girls in India’s Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat regions. Many of these girls came from tribal and low-income communities, and their parents were often misled or left uninformed about the risks. A 2011 Indian Parliament report revealed that seven girls died, and over 1,200 suffered severe adverse events, including autoimmune disorders and fertility issues.4 The trial was halted, but the damage was done, with no meaningful remediation for the victims.
In Chad, 2012 saw another Gates-backed trial through PATH, this time for the MenAfriVac vaccine, administered to 600 children without proper consent or monitoring. At least 50 children were paralyzed, and 40 developed severe neurological issues, with families reporting no follow-up care or compensation.5 Fast forward to the 2025 Uganda trial, where the saRNA vaccine’s catastrophic outcomes were met with silence rather than accountability. These cases share a disturbing thread: a disregard for informed consent, a violation of the Nuremberg Code and Declaration of Helsinki,6 and a prioritization of data over human lives. The Gates Foundation’s influence often pressures local governments to downplay these harms, leaving victims to suffer in obscurity.
RFK Jr.’s GAVI Funding Withdrawal: A Stand Against Unaccountable Power
In a bold move, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on June 25, 2025, that the U.S. would halt all funding to GAVI, citing the organization’s failure to prioritize vaccine safety. In a video address to GAVI’s pledging summit in Brussels, Kennedy accused the alliance of “ignoring the science” when it contradicts established paradigms, particularly on vaccine safety issues. He specifically criticized GAVI’s use of the diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTP) vaccine, citing a 2017 study from Guinea-Bissau that suggested higher all-cause mortality in vaccinated infants compared to unvaccinated ones. Kennedy argued that GAVI treats safety concerns as a “public relations problem” rather than a patient health issue, undermining public trust. He demanded that GAVI justify the $8 billion in U.S. funding it has received since 2001 and adopt rigorous, evidence-based safety measures before receiving further contributions.
This decision is monumental for several reasons. First, the U.S. has been one of GAVI’s largest donors, contributing approximately 13% of its budget, or about $5 billion through 2024. The withdrawal of this funding, including a $1.58 billion pledge for 2026-2030, creates a significant shortfall for GAVI’s goal of raising $11.9 billion to vaccinate 500 million children and prevent 8-9 million deaths by 2030. Public health experts warn that this could lead to millions of children missing routine vaccinations, potentially causing 1.2 million deaths over five years. However, Kennedy’s stance reflects a growing demand for accountability in global health, challenging organizations like GAVI to prioritize safety over scale.
Critics argue that GAVI’s reliance on Gates Foundation funding and its close ties to the World Health Organization create conflicts of interest, prioritizing corporate and institutional agendas over independent science. Kennedy’s decision aligns with broader skepticism about GAVI’s transparency, especially given its dismissal of safety concerns and its role in promoting vaccines like DTP, which, while effective in high-risk areas, has been linked to adverse effects in some studies. By pulling funding, Kennedy is forcing a reckoning on whether global health organizations serve people or profits, a question central to dismantling pestilence profiteering. While GAVI insists its decisions align with WHO’s expert recommendations, the lack of independent scrutiny and the suppression of dissenting voices during the COVID-19 pandemic fuel skepticism about its priorities.
Unethical Profiteering = Negative Outcomes
These global experiments don’t end in the countries where they’re conducted. They are a proving ground for technologies later deployed in the United States, often with devastating consequences. The HPV vaccines tested in India were fast-tracked by the FDA in 2006 and added to the CDC’s childhood vaccination schedule, securing billions in contracts for Merck.7 VAERS data as of May 2025 reports over 67,000 adverse events linked to Gardasil, including 500 deaths and 1,200 cases of permanent disability, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome and POTS. A 2017 study in Clinical Rheumatology confirmed an increased risk of autoimmune disorders in young girls.8
Similarly, the Gates Foundation’s success with meningitis vaccines in Africa led to increased funding for vaccines like Bexsero, contracted for U.S. use through the CDC’s Vaccines for Children program. VAERS reports 1,867 adverse events for Bexsero.9
Most recently, the Gates Foundation’s 55 million dollar investment in BioNTech in 201910 paved the way for mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, while BARDA’s funding of the Uganda saRNA trial led to a 150 million dollar contract with Arcturus Therapeutics in 2023.11 The saRNA vaccine ARCT-2304 was fast-tracked for H5N1 bird flu in April 2025, despite the Uganda trial’s alarming results. VAERS data for COVID-19 vaccines shows 1.5 million adverse events, including 35,000 deaths and 50,000 cases of myocarditis, while the 2022 DMED whistleblower report revealed a 1,000 percent increase in neurological disorders among service members, a claim the DoD dismissed as a data glitch without releasing raw data for scrutiny.12
The lack of remediation for these harms is a direct result of government-pharma collusion, enabled by acts like the PREP Act. This 2005 law grants immunity to manufacturers, distributors, and administrators during public health emergencies, leaving victims with little legal recourse. The Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program has approved only 5 percent of COVID-19 vaccine injury claims, with average payouts of $5,000, far below the medical costs for severe injuries.13 The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program fares little better, offering an average of $200,000 for Gardasil-related injuries, a paltry sum for lifelong disability. Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb joined Pfizer’s board in 201914, shortly after overseeing mRNA vaccine approvals, while BARDA Director Rick Bright moved to the Rockefeller Foundation, a Gates partner, after managing COVID-19 vaccine contracts.15 Gates himself has invested heavily in vaccine companies, with 10 billion dollars in GAVI16 and 1.6 billion in Moderna equity, creating a clear conflict of interest as his foundation shapes global health policy while profiting from its outcomes. This revolving door and profit-driven system ensure that harm goes unaddressed, and victims are left to bear the burden alone.17
More Than Institutional Failure - Our Systems Are Actively Enabling Unethical Profiteering
American institutions have not only failed to stop this cycle; they have actively enabled it, betraying their duty to protect our rights. The Department of Defense enforced COVID-19 vaccine mandates on service members, often denying religious exemptions in violation of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, as seen in cases like Navy SEALs v. Biden in 2022.18 By refusing to release DMED data for independent analysis, the DoD obscures potential harms, betraying its oath to defend the Constitution against domestic threats. The FDA fast-tracked saRNA vaccines despite known risks, prioritizing speed over safety, while former officials’ ties to pharma suggest regulatory capture. The CDC controls VAERS and V-Safe data, which show significant adverse events, yet refuses to open-source the information or allow independent analysis, fueling suspicion of a cover-up. HHS, through BARDA, ties U.S. taxpayer dollars to unethical trials like Uganda’s, while invoking the PREP Act to shield perpetrators.
Ethically, this complicity violates the principle of “do no harm,” erodes trust in public health (only 20 percent of Americans trust the CDC on vaccine safety, per a 2024 Pew poll), and causes moral injury to both victims and healthcare providers forced to administer harmful interventions. The consequences are profound: unremediated health impacts, eroded constitutional protections, and a global precedent that exploitation is acceptable. What makes matters worse is the fact that there are limited reparations for those harmed as corrupted people that make up nation-state governments, favor industry and profits over fundamental human rights laws, and ultimately, the well-being of the people they are sworn to serve. RFK Jr.’s GAVI funding withdrawal is a direct challenge to this complicity, signaling that HHS will no longer subsidize unaccountable global health initiatives that risk human lives.
No matter if you are for or against vaccines, we can all agree that pestilence profiteering in and of itself is wrong on every level. Morally, it exploits human lives for profit, treating people as data points rather than sovereign beings with inherent rights. Constitutionally, it violates our right to due process by denying access to courts, our right to privacy through biodigital surveillance, and our religious freedom by ignoring exemptions. Systemically, it represents a corporatocracy where unelected entities like the Gates Foundation wield unchecked power over our lives, undermining democracy itself. If we do not act, this cycle will continue with new biotech, risking more lives and further eroding our liberties, especially as the Internet of Bodies threatens to integrate our bodies into a surveillance network, stripping away our autonomy entirely.
Restoring Accountability
We must address this with every tool in our arsenal as Americans, starting with policies that restore self-ownership and accountability. RFK Jr.’s action against GAVI sets a precedent for holding global health organizations accountable, but more must be done. I propose a Separation of Corporatocracy and the State by banning revolving-door appointments, prohibiting government contracts with companies tied to ethical violations, limiting private foundations’ influence on public health policy through mandatory transparency, and holding them accountable to our constitutional human rights laws.
I also propose a Comprehensive Pharmaceutical Accountability and Transparency Act (PATA) that would repeal the PREP Act, restore manufacturer liability, mandate independent analysis of VAERS, V-Safe, and DMED data, and require full disclosure of risks and exemptions in all vaccine mandates, thereby ensuring informed consent and accommodating religious beliefs. For remediation, we should expand the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program to approve at least 50 percent of claims, with minimum payouts of $50,000 for severe injuries, funded by a tax on vaccine manufacturers, and establish a federal task force to investigate Gates-funded trials and revoke contracts for ethical violations. RFK Jr.’s withdrawal of GAVI funding is a critical step toward dismantling this cycle, forcing a reevaluation of how global health organizations operate and whether they truly serve the public. We must not allow our lives to be commodified for profit, our rights to be trampled by unaccountable powers, or our institutions to betray the principles they swore to uphold.
We must no longer vote for candidates that tow industry bottom lines. We must support candidates instead, who champion the topics I’ve raised in my policy proposals; we must lobby Congress to repeal the PREP Act, demand transparency from the CDC and DoD, and join grassroots movements to hold these entities accountable. Together, we can dismantle pestilence profiteering and build a future where no one is a guinea pig for profit, and where our rights as sovereign individuals are fiercely protected.

Sorry to hear that. It seems many now know of someone who's been injured. Yet, the industries causing harm have not been properly checked. It's time we listen to the injured.
I have a friend who was seriously injured by Gardasil. It's hard to believe that human rights abuses have become normalized by Pharma, but that's sure how it looks.
